Julio Gamero joined TAG Airlines in 2020 as CEO; under his leadership, the airline has advanced a deep process of transformation and growth that has led it to double the number of operations and expand its horizons to the South of Mexico, where it already has five destinations that provide convenient connections to Guatemala and Central America, making Tag Airlines the "Flag Carrier of Guatemala" and the "Airline of the Mayan World.” He has 19 years of experience in airline management in more than five countries in the Americas. He held the positions of Vice President of Regional Airlines (TACA Regional), Vice President of Business Units of AVIANCA, and Executive President of Galapagos Airlines (Aerogal) in Ecuador. He has extensive experience in the Commercial, Revenue Management, Itineraries, Market Development, and Distribution areas, working as Director for TACA Airlines (El Salvador) for over 13 years. Additionally, he served as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at Interjet (Mexico), overseeing the entire commercial strategy of the airline (Marketing and Commercial Alliances, Network Planning, Pricing, E-commerce, Sales, and the Cargo business unit, among others). He began his career at Citibank El Salvador. He has a degree in Economics and Business; and an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management (USA) and Tecnológico de Monterrey (Mexico).Sessions
