Rafael Samudio is a long time employee of Copa Airlines, since May of 1989 where he has held different positions in the Technical Operation Vice Presidency. He was in charge of introducing into service the first Boeing 737 NG and first EMB-190 to Copa Airlines.

Mr. Samudio holds a B.S in Electromechanical Engineering and an M.B.A. in Finance. He also was awarded a Diploma in Executive Leadership by Cornell University.

He has been responsible for several departments as Reliability Chief, Aircraft Maintenance Planning Manager, and Director of Engineering, before assuming his current position, where he is responsible for the departments of Supply Change Management, Aircraft Spares Inventory, Technical Contract and Components Repairs.
